THE COLOURS EMBODIED IN GLASS GLOW IN A SPECTACULAR WAY,

LIGHT BRINGS OUT NEW DIMENSIONS

In my glass work I aim to achieve a balance between the inherent nature of glass and my own personal preferences. I want to create objects and artworks in which the nature of glass as a material is emphasized in a new and exciting way. The transparency of glass is endlessly fascinating. I’m equally excited when the glass loses its transparency either partly or completely.

The colours embodied in glass glow in a spectacular way, and light brings out new dimensions and possibilities. All works in my Collection are manufactured as handwork in Finland. I have worked closely with Finland’s most skilled glass blowers ever since the beginning of my career in glass art. Domestic production is valuable in itself, and my works are made as locally as possible.

I think that objects that are produced with care, designed to last beyond next generations, encourage people to sustainable choises.

Camilla Moberg aim in her work as a designer and artist to beauty and quality. To Camilla quality means sustainability and timeless design. Objects have to be repairable. My design philosophy is to create objects and artwork that will deliver beauty that is everlasting.

Camilla lives and works in Fiskars Village. Her own Sirius Gallery is located in the basement of her home.
